It’s a smoky, spicy addition to your tacos or fajitas. Make a batch and freeze because a little goes a long way.
- 1 can of chipotle in adobo
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 sweet onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Blend all of the ingredients (except oil) in a food processor until smooth, then add to a skillet with the oil over low heat and cook until thickened and flavors have deepened.
Mix a small amount with cooked, shredded meat for tacos or add to a braise with raw meat and let them cook together. Just be aware of the spice level, it packs a punch.
