This is a simple waffle recipe. One bowl and no whipping of egg whites. This will work in a standard waffle iron, not the Belgian version.
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking pwder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp melted butter
Put all of the ingredients into a bowl and whisk just until combined. When the iron is hot, scoop 1/2 a cup of batter into the center of the iron and close until set and browned. You can put the waffles in a low oven to keep them warm until ready to serve. The yield is about 5-6 waffles.
Serve with butter, syrup, whipped cream or fruit.
