Sausage and Cheese Balls

These are like a breakfast appetizer, great for holiday mornings or a quick breakfast side.

  • 1 pound raw pork sausage (no casing)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Toss the grated cheese with the flour, baking powder and salt. Next mix in the pork sausage to create a homogenous mixture. Portion it out with a cookie scoop or a spoon and roll into balls. Place the sausage balls on a parchment lined, rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 350 15-20 minutes until golden brown and internal temp is 170.

These can be frozen after baking for easy weekday breakfasts. Enjoy!
