Christmas Crack

  • 1 sleeve of saltine crackers
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts or almonds)

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Lay out the saltines over the cookie sheet. Melt butter and stir in 1 cup brown sugar. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Pour over saltines. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with semi-sweet chocolate chips. After 2 minutes spread the melted chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Put in refrigerator to set. Cut or break into pieces.
