Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro Slaw

We love Taco Tuesday at our house, so we are documenting our weekly taco recipes.

  • 1lb raw frozen shrimp
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder
  • Corn tortillas, olive oil for griddle
  • Toppings: shredded cotija, Cilantro Slaw and dressing ( ), avocado.

Rinse the frozen shrimp with cool water until slightly thawed and add to a non-stick skillet with the seasonings and olive oil. Fry up the shrimp until they are slightly caramelized and no longer grey, add the butter and mix until melted.

Brush the corn tortillas with olive oil and griddle the tortillas until slightly golden. (Note: we like to make homemade tortillas when we have the time ) Add shrimp, toppings, and hot sauce and enjoy!
